Robin's Story
Life
Wow! So much has happened since I left West Plains. I'm amazed at how I've been blessed over and over again. I moved to Springfield in 1987 and gave up cheerleading my Senior Year for Debate at Kickapoo High School. I then went on to SMSU and crammed a solid four year BS in Chemistry into five years. After graduation I moved to Jefferson City and worked as an Environmental Chemist for three years. Boredom and low pay helped make my decision to go on to Grad School at MU. I decided that a chemical lab might be a dangerous place to spend the rest of my professional career so I decided to take up business. I met my husband, Jesse my first year in the MBA program at MU. ). We moved to Kansas City, where I accepted a position with Deloitte Consulting doing large IT implementations, and a year ago was promoted to Manager. I traveled a ton (recently did a crazy weekend trip to Paris) which was not too bad until September 11th. I hope all are well post those tragic events. As of January 2002, I accepted the position of Operations Manager of the Mid-America Practice (KC, St. Louis and Minneapolis). This means I'll be able to spend precious evenings with my husband. I started traveling only a month after we were married so this is a welcome change. Jesse is a patent attorney with Shook Hardy and Bacon here in KC and loves his work.
9/7/2004 -- Down to part time and now have a beautiful baby boy, Joseph (8/12/03).
