Life Married with one daughter (8 years old) living in Frederick, Maryland. Doing PeopleSoft integration work for Frederick County government. Since moving from Atlanta in June '89, have acquired a taste for fried oysters and enjoy steamed Maryland crabs! We do come to the Atlanta from time to time to visit both sets of grandparents. We always make sure to stop by the Varsity at least once, preferably a couple times. Another place we like to go is the Fresh Air Bar-B-Que in Jackson, GA. It has been voted "Georgia's Best Bar-B-Que" during a viewer vote held by WSB-TV. We'll usually pick up a couple pounds, freeze it, then bring it back with us until one evening when we can't wait any longer, we thaw it out and enjoy it!!! We do like living in Frederick as it is a "small town" (about 25,000) and within an easy hour's drive of Baltimore and Washington DC. I miss Atlanta more than my wife and believe I am raising my daughter in a better place in the sense that it is not "the big city." Over time, the old saying "...you can't go home again..." has sunk in since every time I have returned to Atlanta, something else has changed or has gone. Thank goodness the Varsity is still there! Despite living far away, we have given our daughter a "proper introduction" to the fried onion rings and other fare to be had at the World's Largest Drive-In.
