Robin's Story
Life
I live in La Paz, Baja Sur, Mexico, and have a very wonderful life. After being widowed for 17 years, 19 years ago I married a wonderful man who is also an artist. I have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. I have gone around the world and paid my way by being a teacher. Now I work in art full-time. I do ceramic murals for government agencies around the country. I have adopted a school for the developmentally disabled in Taxco, Mexico, and spend a lot of time trying to get things donated to help them. I have great friends, and a great life. The best gift God has given me is that I will not settle. I have to love who I am with and what I am doing, and I feel that this makes me live my life the best I can. I am so lucky, I am one of the few people I know who got to be what ...Expand for more
they wanted to be when they grew up, and against all odds, am living happily ever after.

Got married at 20, widowed at 27 raised my 4 children in Puerto Rico. Came back, got married at 45, adopted a 16 year old. Lost 130 pounds, have 12 grandchildren. Work as a full-time professional artist. In high school I was a victim of severe forms of verbal, physical, and sexual abuse in my home, I made the decision not to let that win and define who I am. I am, and was a very nice person! Too bad most of you never took the time to find out. I hope those who were especially cruel have grown up to be nicer people than you were. If I saw you today I would treat you the way I wish you had treated me, otherwise I will have learned nothing. To see my work google Juliana Martinez Art.
