Life
1976-2006 30 Years of Me
After graduating WHS in '76, I went off to Kean U to get a BA in Psych. Got married less than a year after graduating, had 3 kids in 5 years, 2 girls & a boy, and got divorced in 1990. I went to work for a bank as a teller for the benefits, worked my way up through the ranks and various mergers while going to Seton Hall Law at night. I decided to stay in banking so I never practiced. My last job there was coordinating branch level support for the latest merger. I had the opportunity to travel quite a bit which I unexpectedly enjoyed a lot. Alas, my project ended. That's what I'm doing now. I function as the CFO but as any entrepeneur knows, the boss fills in wherever and whenever the need arises. My children are wonderful young adults now. Both girls work with me. I fantasize about what it would be like to have both the time and the money simultaneously. But the truth is I love working and would rapidly become bored with too much free time on my hands. I garden, read, take a few trips to AC every year. I have a dog and two cats (which amuses me since I never liked cats)
I've never really left the Westfield area. I wasn't one of those kids who couldn't wait to get out of this town. I love the continuity of my kids, nieces & nephews going to the same grammar school that my grandmother went to. Life is good, not perfect but good.
