Robin's Story
Life
I am currently retired as principal of Bob Graham Education Center, a K-8 Miami-Dade County Public School, in Miami Lakes. My daughters are 43 and 41; the older is married, lives in Dunwoody, GA with her husband and 3 children, ages 11, 9 &6. She is a teacher in the Dekalb County Public schools. My other daughter is the Special Events Coordinator for the City of Tallahassee and is currently single. I always loved learning and earned my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in December, 2003. I am utilizing my education to serve as an adjunct professor at Broward College. My husband, Andy, is the President and CEO of the Florida Association of Community Health Centers. As of June 23, 2020, we have been married for 47 years.
Fortunately, I have season tickets to Gator football and travel to Gainesville for all home games. (Because of COVID-19, this year is an exception.)

I started out teaching in a private school then moved on to the public schools. I 've taught all elementary grades and middle school mathematics. In 2000, I became an assistant principal. Then in March of 2006, I was promoted to a principal's position. My former school had just under 2100 students, with a staff of 200, when I retired.
Other info:
We have been fortunate to be able to travel to Europe (England, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Monaco, and Italy. In addition we have traveled to Nova Scotia and around the US.
My husband has his private pilot's license and has a Piper Dakota, so we can travel without the hassle of commercial airlines, when the weather permits. We attend the Boston Pops Holiday Concert, in Boston, every December, love the theater, sports, and family.
Looking forward to the Norland Class of '71 Fifty Year Reunion, June 2021.
