Robin's Story

Life has thrown a lot of challenges my way. But hey, when life doesn't get better, we get better at life. I am currently a fulltime musician, do a lot of daytime teaching, private lessons and afterschool programs as well as evening gigs. I hope to actually record three new CDs this year. You can find me on the web and on facebook... My Pets Currently I have a bengal cat (part asian leopard cat, part domestic). He is a sweetheart and great company. My Kids I have 3 kids; Autumn (28 and living in Brooklyn, NY after graduating from UNH as a drama major--just started a new job at an educational book company and loves it. Her and her wonderful husband and son (my 4 yr. old grandson!) live in Brooklyn. Jesse , my youngest, lives in Richmond VA, is happily married and doing great.. hile. My Job I was a freelance graphic designer and art director for many years, but now I am just a professional acoustic blues and gospel musician. I have been doing music full time since 2002 and it is fulfilling a lifelong dream. I released my second CD in the fall of '03. In July 04 I opened for the Doobie Brothers in Pitssfield, MA! I've was a 2006 memphis Blues Challenge finalist and a 2007 CT Blues Challenge Finalist, as well as 2009 Telluride blues challenge finalist. I've licensed music to PBS. I graduated from UMASS in June '09 with a BA in Integrated Arts in Education. My mom wants me to go back to school to study law... In the spring of 2009 I contracted lyme and it has been a long, slow climb back to health. Still working on it, but still performing and teaching. God is the center of my universe and has made a way for me through the darkness.
