Robin's Story
Hi Folks,
I am still living in the same town (Shelton) that I have been in since 1976. I have 3 grown sons. My oldest are fraternal twins; Jason lives in Cheshire with his new baby boy, 2 wonderful step-children, and wife, and Adam lives in Shelton with his 2 little boys and wife. My youngest son lives in Oregon, and is attending college out there. I just got back from visiting him on 9/18/12.
Unfortunately, my health could be better. On top of the Crohn's Disease I contracted in 1970, I now also have MS and Fibromyalgia. Things just keep getting more and more interesting! I am managing to keep everything under control with the help of some very good Dr.s, some VERY expensive drugs, a wonderful family, and a very supportive and caring husband. My form of physical therapy cannot be bought. It comes in the form of 3 very rambunctious grandsons who think I am a cross between Mary Poppins, Dr. Seuss, Mr. Rogers, and Paula Dean!! ays trying out new things together. They love to bake with me; they even have their own aprons and wooden spoons. Last Xmas we made Gingerbread men from scratch...I still haven't recovered! They love books, and being read to. They love singing and dancing, and like their Nana, they love creating drawings, projects that require a whole bottle of Elmers glue EACH, and anything with glitter and stickers.
Sadly. I have lost both parents, but my younger sister, Bonnie is still alive and kicking in Brookfield. she also has MS. Life is not always kind. I try very hard to keep up with the "younger folks " but I tire very easily. My main wish is to be able to see my grandsons grow up. With God's help, it will happen.
Right now, that's about all. I'm looking forward to our next reunion in 2020. I hope to be there, but if I am not, don't forget to smile for me. I love a happy face and a good joke! Love you all, Robin (Seiler) Sherrod
