Robin's Story

Life Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing wonderful and life is being good. It doesn't seem like it was so long ago! I have a daughter, Korie 13, who is the reason for every breath I take. We live in Maryville and she attends Maryville City Schools. After Graduation, I worked in the health care field and moved into my dream job- Law Enforcement. With a background beginning at 16, where else should one go? I landed a job with the state and was sent to and graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. Shortly after my daughter was born, I became very ill. I had to resign my position and hang up the badge, due to several life threatening medical issues. During my LOA from the working life... I was able to do other interesting things. I was crowned Mrs. Tennessee United Nation in 1996. It was such a rewarding experience. Like everything it had it's ups and downs. I focused on the positive windows it allowed me to see through. I flew to California to Compete Nationally. I was in the top 20 and won several awards including the Director's Choice Award. During the same year I was Applebrook's Parenting Program's Mrs. Tennessee state winner which allowed me to travel to New York. In my spare time I was chosen as a Tallent Agent for World Association of Tallent, Modeling and Entertainment. I really had some busy years! After being released to return to the work field, I chose to go back into the medical field. With Lupus and other medical problems, law enforcement wasn't an option. I received my EMT licence...Expand for more
and worked part-time as a Private Investigator. So, I was able to put the years of LE into some use. I am currently working for a physician in Maryville. I love my job! I started a dance program for children who suffer from Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, Childhood obesity and other medical issues....or simply shyness. We are DREAM STREET INFUSION DANCERS. 2 of my dancers placed 2nd at Nationals '07,Gatlinburg. I teach, beginning ballet, Hip-hop, Jazz. I also, teach the girls other dance tech. just so they will have an open feel, ie, Hula, Belly dance, Irish step, Clogging. This is pretty much what I do. My daughter is a big dancer and this allows us both to share the passion. I've been blessed by running into many of you who I've always held dear to my heart. Others, I've been able to keep in touch through friends, relatives, etc. There are still several, I would love to see and hug! There were some good times at WB, ( nothing compares to our elementary years) But, I did get to meet new friends at WB and for that I am very greatful. There are many regrets that walk hand in hand with the good times...but, all things happen for a reason...good or bad. I wouldn't give up what I have now, for anything. We all wish we could go back and change things. If I could go back, I wish I would have been more forward and let someone know I liked him. He was the one who had my heart from day one. And I guess, will always own a piece of it. Now....I've got you all wondering! Actually, I don't even think my best friend even knew!
