Robin's Story
Life
I was married to Kim for 29 years. I have 7 children and 2 grandchildren. . Oldest graduated from Virgina Tech with his Master's and moving on to UTSA for his PhD, my 2nd is doing an internship at Kansas State Master's in Statistical Mathematics. My 3rd, finished her 3nd year of college preparing for a Master's in Education (English). #4 is 27, #5 is 25, #6 is 23 and love to do Electronic Legos & video games, & the youngest is finishing his junior year at college and is 21.
I graduated from Old Dominion University in Aug 2004 & practiced as an RN BSN at small hosp on a med/surg/oncology unit for 4 years. I worked as an adjunct faculty member at our local community college teaching nursing courses in an ADN program. I have now decided to...Expand for more
go back to doing patient care to make health insurance more affordable! I graduated from ODU in August 08 with a Master's in Nursing Education. I wanted to further my education with a possible Geriatric Nurse Practicionership, but as I approach 60, not sure I could do it and work too. We have lived in SE VA for 33 years & travel to Elyria usually once a yr. to visit my parents and siblings that all live where I grew up.
The South is nothing like what I grew up with, but am thankful that my children have grown up in such a warm and welcoming environment. It is hard to believe that 3 are already grown and the others are right on their heels!
It has been great to hear from some of you, would love to see/hear what you have done with your lives!
