Linda's Story
This is funny..
Who I was back then...
I was one of Wilsons bad girls.
See the "then photo" and maybe some of you will remember me.
I was a mystery to even myself back then. I worked with the blind at Wilson and enjoyed that.
I used to get in trouble for wearing some of the first mini skirts and sizzlers to school which were forbidden by the dress code back then..and I enjoyed that too.
Many of my female classmates thought I was easy because of how I looked so I wasn't very popular.
I took print shop for 3 of my classes a day (the benifits of catholic school for Jr. High).
I loved the dances at the canteen and the few low rider cars that slowly filtered into Wilson.
It was what it was..
High School..
It took me 4.5 years to finish school..I had to switch to night school in my mid Jr. year and even though I had all my credits I never attended a graduation ceremony..
I did go on in school though and I moved far away once I started having kids.
So basically thats about it as far as High school went.
I am an herbalist. I make lotions and potions and rubs for aches and pains and bruses. My specialities are lotions and bath oils that are especially for really dry skin.
I still do hospice work now and again for the right client as well. I only work with the person who is passing, not their famlies.
My children are...Expand for more
all grown up now and between my partner and I, we had 8 kids off and on in our home.
I have grand children too. I also have one grandaughter who blessed me with my first great grandson in 09. She is my eldest daughters daughter. We actually have 6 generations alive now.
I was a pretty wild child back in the day and was very lucky to have survived my years of youth and stupidity.
But.....
Here's a surprise, I regret none of my life, it got me to here, the good the bad and the heartbreaking..and all of the experiences made me who I am today, and I happen to enjoy my life and I like who I am.
At the present I am working for my youngest son in his smoke shops..I help keep the books and tax items up to date. It is fun and it keeps me active and young at heart.. Plus it is a good thing to be inside during suns zeineth here in New Mexico.and my job offers shade when I want it, sun when I want to go out in it but the main bonus is I get to watch my sons wife growing all through her pregnancy. LIfe is good.
Yet still to this day I hold a love for my old home town and my schools and the memories I have from there. but my heart is for ever New Mexicos now..
To those who remember me if I wronged you, I do hope you will find it in your hearts to forgive my youth and if I made others laugh and smile I hope you remember me fondly.
