I didn't attend many school activities- I worked nights, painted portraits or made jewelry on my time off. But I did have a portrait tour in an exhibition and I was flown to Anaheim,CA to represent Craigmont for the Nat'L Decca(DE) Awards in '77. That was fun, including going to Nashville for the State Competition. I also loved taking radio broadcasting two years and helping during Summer Break. At 16 I got a break when I sold 100 earrings to the JJ Morley store in the mall and by age 23 I worked at US Male and sold my jewelry in their stores & at Chelsea's in Overton SQ. At the same time, I purchased a small concert lighting system and operated the light shows for my husband's bands The Beat Cowboys, Boys Say No and also for Debra DeJean after he left The Crime band. The biggest show I did was the 1984 Billy Idol show on Mudd Island but obviously I used their lights. At 30 I divorced & managed Clarins Cosmetics at MMCohn & Goldsmiths Oak Court, then managed Robert Irwin Jewelers in Bartlett.
