Rod's Story
Life
I have been living in a tiny little town called Peru (pop. 2500) for the last 24 years. It's a great place to live and is about as un-Long Island like as any place I can think of. I'm right on Lake Champlain and about 45 min. from Lake Placid. I'm retired from 32 years of teaching economics, history, political science & psychology at AuSable Valley High School which I enjoyed a great deal. ouse. in an old timey/bluegrass/folk string band and play about 12 concerts a year (we have a web site- tootallstringband.com). I do a lot of outdoor stuff year round (hiking, kayaking, XC skiing, camping). I walk or go cycling every day to stay in shape. I'm still really into politics (proud to be a Democrat). I can't seem to shake my New York baseball, basketball and football roots (Mets, Knicks, Nets and Jets). I get down to the city about once a year to get out to the beach, catch a game or walk around the city.. Life is good!
