Rod's Story

Life After graduating in 1968 stayed in Kitimat for a couple of years. Moved to Vancouver in 1971 and drove transit for several years. I was briefly married and had a beautiful daughter Michelle. Went to Prince george in 1979 to drive for greyhound bus lines. Married again in 1986 and in 1990...Expand for more
Elizabeth and I had our daughter Kathleen. We moved to Telkwa in 1996 whre I continued to drive for greyhound. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2002 and decided to retire early. Presently enjoying my retirement, golfing, riding my motorcycle. Travelling to Australia in April and Britain in July.

Myself and two others were awarded these today. I feel I only assisted in saving a life. It was a team effort which involved many others. The high point was getting to meet the man and his wife. They are the sweetest couple
