Rod's Story
Jobs
Graduated Chico in the Fall of '79 with a Park Management degree. Worked a couple of summers as a Park ranger at Vasona park in Santa Clara Co. and contract Security at Hewlett Packard the other parts of the year. Applied for jobs, but the passage of prop 13 doomed any new hiring in the state of California. In 1982 was able to get a Security job directly with Hewlett Packard, then later a System Administrator job in facilities and by 1987 a Software Engineering job in the...Expand for more
Unix Networking Lab. Worked in a number of groups as a Software Test Engineer until taking the last of the HP early retirement programs in 2007.
Life
Convoluted to say the least, but happily married for the last 16 years! between us, we have 3 children. Travis 22, Michael 21, and Kaitlyn 18. Still living in San Jose with hopes of a permanent move to Pollock Pines dome day.
