Rodger's Story
Life:
Born in Flora, attended 1-2 at Washington, 3rd at Mckendree, 4-6 at Seminary, 7-8 at McKendree Jr High and didn't get to attend high school as I moved to Chicago Heights, IL and went to Bloom High School who had more students than the whole population of Flora at that time.
61-62 - Attended Bloom Comm. College.
62-66 - U. S. Airforce - four (4) years. Honorable Discharge at E-5 grade. Electronic/Computer Technician.
67-77 - Ultronic Systems Inc. Electronic/Computer Technician (Chicago, IL & Houston, TX)
78-95 - Quotron Systems Inc. Electronic Technician in Houston, TX and Regional Computer Center Manager in Dallas, TX.. Bought out by Reuters America and terminated ALL employees a few years later..
96-02 - Independent contractor in computer networking.
03-05 - In business with my son in the Hea...Expand for more
ting and Air Conditioning trade.
06-Current - Retired - Travel & Leisure
Military
Sep 04, 1962-enlisted in USAF as E-1 at Lackland AFB
Oct 09, 1962-promoted to E-2. Completed Basic Training
started Crypto School.
Aug 24, 1963-graduated from Crypto School as E-3.
Assigned to 500th Air Refueling Wing (SAC) at
Selfridge AFB, Mt. Clemens, MI.
Oct 21, 1965-transferred to 46th Comm Sqdn, 2nd AF HQ at
Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, LA and promoted to
the rank of E-4.
Aug 26, 1966-promoted to rank of E-5.
Sep 02, 1966-Hornorable Discharge from USAF.
Still keep in touch with several of my friends and relatives and always come back to Flora whenever I get the chance for a visit. Have been to several of the Class Reunions and always enjoyed them all. See you around sometime!
