Rodney's Story
Life
After High School I headed south. I moved to New Jersey and worked on my BA. After the BA I worked as a photographer in NYC and NJ for awhile. I became fed up with the commute in 1989 and joined the Peace Corps. They sent me to Niger, very far from home. I spent 3 years working/traveling in some of the poorest countries in Africa. to graduate school. Over the last ten years I have been working intermittently for the Smithsonian CTFS, Africare, World Wide Fund for the Protection of Nature and CARE. I just came back from 16 months from a Cameroonian rainforest doing research for the Smithsonian. Got my doctorate at UF, did some teaching in applied anthropology.
