Rodney's Story
I grew up in lower Wailupe, next to Aina Haina Elementary in Honolulu, HI. Went to Niu Valley Intermediate then Kalani HS. Surfed, popwarner football, worked at first Hawaii McDonalds, Kahala Hilton Hotel during High School and college as a dishwasher, busboy and bartender. Went to U of Hawaii for eight years. own company, Rod Kawamoto Realty in 1996. Married second wife in 2007. 4 kids, one of my own. Like hiking and sight-seeing. Love playing Racquetball, playing with dogs, kids and boogie boarding. Coached little league for six years. Trying to golf. Favorite movies: Forest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Hangover, Fargo, Alien, Ben Hur, The Seven Samurai. Favorite musicians: Pink Floyd, Beatles, Led Zep, Stones, Pearl Jam.
