I'm a self taught Java programmer. I started as a tech writer 12 years ago, worked my way into tech support, got really tired of listening to people's problems, decided I'd rather write the code than find the bugs (not that my code ever has bugs :)) so I started reading books, got into a tech support job for a company that sold a development methodology and started programming.

or me. Lately, I've rediscovered my artistic side and have started to oil paint again after 18 years of not doing any serious art at all. Now my goal is to paint as often as possible and switch careers officially in a few years to full-time artist. I feel I'm on the right track with that. I've had several professional artists that I've painted with tell me I have the talent. Now I just need the body of work.
