Roger's Story
Life
Kathy Smith (also RH 65) and I were married June 12, 1969 following graduation from the UofR and St. John Fisher respectively. This year was our 35th anniversary.
Kathy is a Vice President in the Legal Department of LaSalle Bank here in Chicago. I'm a Unitarian minister serving churches in Indiana and Michigan, and editor of the Journal of Religious Humanism. Our son Chris is 16, attends private school on a math and science scholarship (genes!!) and has taught himself carpentry, wiring, plumbing and small engine repair (those things definitely skipped a generation)! He just finished putting up a 45' long, 6' high fence - at least I know where he is in the summer -- I just look out the back wind...Expand for more

We've been in Chicago twenty four years, and spent the decade before that in Cincinnati, where I was once (very briefly) Jerry Springer's employer, and where Hank Aaron hit # 714 right at our feet on opening day (We're in the Hall of Fame tape of it in Cooperstown, although our faces are too small to be recognized).
Between the Lake, theater and Wrigley Field, Chicago's a great town. To get away we own a cottage in South Haven, Michigan, about 50 yards from the Lake Michigan Beach, with another Chicago family.
Every Summer (first two weeks of July this year) and every Christmas we come back to Henrietta/Hilton/Canandaigua to be with family. Hope to see some of you on one of those trips.
