Roger's Story
Howdy Y'all!
There is alot that happened in my life since I last walked the graduation path with you all. I was scared and saddened very much when it happened. I was wondering who of my graduating class was seen for the last time? Our paths may not cross again because of relocation, careers, ect, ect, ect. We did not even have the internet then. I still jamn to the early 80's music. Many a memories come back when I listen and walk down the path of charrished memories. The times at Lander Valley High were my best. One of my saddest times is when the credit union torn down the old high school building.
After Graduating I went to Yellowstone National Park for the summer. I attended CWC as a music major During that time I went on tour Moved to Northern New Mexico in a small town called Dulce. It is located at the New Mexico, Colorado boader.Bst thing I ever did. I dedicated my life to the Lord Jesus Christ and became involved in a Baptist Mission there on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. I had to work as a dish washer and waiter there at the Jicarilla Inn. Then I went to working construction. Then I went to Shawnee Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. I was there from 86-88. My eyes developed complications that required surgeries in both eyes. Imoved back to Dulce and landed a job as a substitute teacher and route activity bus driver I was nick named Roger Rabbit with...Expand for more
all the kids and staff at the school systems. 1989 I worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor for children and young adults. I stressed out from that job.
I moved to Albuquerque New Mexico. I took on various jobs to pay the bills. In both Dulce and Albuquerque I worked to pay the bills and survive. The realwork was with the People in Dulce and the People in Juarez Mexico. I went with a group on weekends over the boader to take part in local churches and developing and constructing a Christian school, womens shelters, mens half way houses, and orphanages. I so wishI could go back to those times too. The time came when a City cop accused me of attacking him with my car keys. I was having a hyper glycemic episode. I passed out and the cop arrested me while I was recovering in the hospital. After the wrongful arrest I sued the City of Albuquerque and won a 30,000 dollar settlement. After attourney fees I recieved 18,400.
I came back to wyoming in 1998 and since may of 2005 I have ben on dialysis due to diabedic complications. in June of 2007,My body was septic and there was a aggressive bacterial infection that started eating my flesh. I had to have my lower left leg amputated. But life goes onand I love, charish and life life to the fullest. Now you know the rest of this story. BE BLESSED BIG TIME, C-YA1
