Military
Joined the US Navy in Dec of 1974, not too long after High School - but actually prior to the end of the Vietnam War (a technical issue with the date). Spent most of my time in San Diego until 1979 when our Squadron deployed aboard the USS Ranger for a WestPac cruise. I worked the flight deck as a Final Checker. ere in the dark, do your job, and not get killed any number of ways. Been in North Carolina since 1989 and it's been hit and miss keeping up with the old Lompoc crowd. No excuses I guess with this venue available. I have no relatives in California anymore.
As we get older I think we wonder more about whatever happened to so and so and if we will ever see them again. If I don't see you all again, I do wish you the best.
