Life: Up-dated info:
I retired from Sacramento County OES in December 2019. Sold the house, bought a Class A RV and traveling through CA, OR, WA and now in Kerrville TX for a few months. In the Spring have fishing trip planned fo the Klamath River with a few friends.
Enjoying not having emergency phone/ text calls in the middle of the night or weekends. Changed from waking up at 0300 to start the day, sleep in till 0500 hrs.
Having FUN!!
I retired from Red Cross after 20+ years and have gone to work for the County of Sacramento as the Emergency Services Manager.
We live in Pollock Pines, CA which is 45 minutes from South
Lake Tahoe and about an hour from Sacramento jus off Highway. At Sly Park. This past winter we had 17 feet of snow & 72inches of rain. Looks like we may have another good snow and a little less rain but colder than normal
My Pets
I have a cholate lab, her name is Mollie, she is a big girl tall and 90 lbs, Kody is a Carin Terrier and weighs in at 18 lbs but has a great howel and personality. Sneak Cat turned 11...Expand for more

My Job
We are responsible for major disaster, as well as working with other agencies on the day to day disaster such as Hazmats, large fire, evacuations and being at a ton of meeting with local, state and federal partners discussing and planning for all disasters. It is a busy job to say the least and a 24/7 job. But enjoy it a lot
I work for the Sacramento Sierra Chapter of the American Red Cross as the Emergency Services Director. I have been with ARC for the past 15 years as a paid staff member and have travel around the world on various disaster assignments. On large disaster across the US and territories, I have responded to over 60 major disaster such as:Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Wilma and managed ARC respose to the Columbia Shuttle crash, 911 in Washington DC, Hurricane Andrew, Mid-West Floods, Oklahoma Tornadoes, and many more. For the Red Cross I have lived in Saipan for 3 years and Hawaii for a year and most recently 8 years in Katy, TX, until moving back to CA in 2004.
