Roger's Story
Life
I am currently separated from my wife Loh Ying. My son has a successful law practice in San Francisco. My daughter just divorced a sailor in Hawaii. She attended the University of Hawaii for two years before transferring back to California. After graduating Erie Academy I went to Penn State University, Behrend Campus, for two years before transferring to UCLA. I enlisted in Army in 1967. After graduating from Special Forces in October 1968, I spent the rest of my active duty career teaching demolitions at the Camp Hardy Combat Training Center on Okinawa, Japan. I returned to UCLA in 1970 and graduated in 1971 with a major in psychology and a minor in physics. I...Expand for more
graduated from Golden Gate University Law School in 1975. I worked for the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations, Workers' compensation Appeals Board, State Compensation Insurance Fund for 14 years as a senior litigating attorney. I became a Judge in 1991. I retired as a judge in December 2009. I joined the Army Reserves Special Forces in 1978 and the CA National Guard in 1994. After 20 years in Special Forces, I transferred to military intelligence where I was the 40th ID (M) G-2 (Sr. Intel Sergeant) for 3 years. I was the Command Sergeant Major for the 640th MI Battalion deployed in Kosovo in 2003. I retired from the military in 2004 when I turned 60.
