Roger's Story
Life
I am currently living in Flagstaff Arizona where I am a letter carrier for the postal service. I am divorced and living with two golden retrievers and a cat, but am hoping to do better soon. I am a runner and a hiker and spend as much time outdoors as possible, and I am probably in better shape than I was in high school, although I'm not sure that's saying a whole lot. I usually visit Bloomington once a year just to make sure it is still there, making it a point to have lunch at the Trojan Horse whenever I am in town. I still haven't finished my senior term paper, but I am getting closer. Thank you for your patience Mrs. Loudenback.
Update, 10-11-06: Got back from Bloomington last week. Forget the Trojan Horse tradition. Had the worst service there I've ever experienced anywhere in the free world. Never going back again. It's getting to where I hardly recognize Bloomington anymore, there's been so much development. What's with these roundabouts anyway? People on ludes should not drive. I am now dating the most remarkable woman. She likes to dress up as a pirate (or a princess) depending on her mood. We went to Vegas recently and had a terrific time. Couldn't find the drive through chapel or else I might be a war bride right now. Stay tuned.......
7-2-07 Latest update. Sue and I married in Las Vegas in April. I am a very lucky man. We purchased a new home in March, combining households, and I am now the proud father of 5 dogs, 1 cat and 1 horse. At least the horse shows promise of being trainable. Life is going very well, Arizona continues to be interesting, and I have been informed that it is my bedtime and to get off of the computer. Later.

hat this website is really boring? I thought high school was boring, but this just may have it topped. Went to San Diego in June, first visit, I recommend it. We've been to Sedona several times this summer, but big deal, we live 30 minutes away from it. If you're ever in Jerome Arizona (now why would you be there anyway?) there's a great restaurant called The Asylum. The food is terrific and I felt right at home there. Other than that I've been working in my yard and delivering junk mail for the post office. Oh well, guess someone has to do it. Aloha Mr. Hand.

I learned to drink beer while in the US Air force. That's as close as I came to flying.
11-11-2020 So I decided to rejoin this site for reasons still undetermined. Boredom might be high on the list however. I retired from the postal service in 2014, took some time off and ended up taking a job at our local medical center performing open heart surgery. Just kidding. I actually run the mailroom at the medical center (what did you expect?) and have been there 6 years now. I had a hip replacement in 2008 so running is off the activity list. Anyone else out there lose any body parts at this point in your lives? Still I keep active and do lots of walking. Sue and I have 3 labradoodles under the age of 2 1/2 and they are a handful to keep up with. I've had several pets over the years but this is truly the first time I have felt that I am here to serve my pets and not the other way round. I took a trip up to the Grand Canyon in September to meet up with a former co-worker and his family (see photo). It's actually a crime that I don't go to the Canyon more often as I live only an hour away. And that pretty much concludes my latest personal update. Hello out there to all my fellow veterans with today being Veteran's Day.
