Roger's Story

After graduation I entered the U.S. Navy as a Radioman. I met my wife, Julie, in Hawaii and had my two children there. I was discharged after 5 years in San Diego. I then was hired by the VA (Dept. of Veterans Affairs) and served with them for 25 years as a Veterans Benefits Counselor and Military Services Coordinator. with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and later retired from Customs and Border Protection as their Diversity and Civil Rights Officer. Some of you may know that I sang in choir in H.S. I later joined a Christian music group and traveled So. Calif in a bus and made 3 albums. I am now widowed and am trying to adjust my life as a single person.
