Roland's Story
After H.S. I became a cement finisher for 8yrs the went to work at Kropp Forge for 20yrs.I had many classifications.,operated,heater,roller,blacksmith & more.After that I decided to make a career change so I returned to college and received my degree in culinary Arts.At 48 yrs o!d I returned to college.Oh boy was that fun.I did very well in college and was hired by a firm 6mo before I graduated and worked as a sous chef then an Executive Chef.I worked there until I retired....now retired ...Expand for more
living in McHenry..married 30yrs...5 kids,grown,..with 5 grandkids,due to circumstances helping raise 3of them,lucky I have a big house,but it would be too quiet without them,they make me very happy.I've been in the scouting program for 30,yes and have camped & hiked many parts of the country.I am now inactive..I enjoy yard work and working in the garden with the grandkids..I go their little league games and cheer them on .I would like to hear from my old friends from Schurz and J.B.Murphy
