Ron's Story
I graduated from Crossland High in 1977. I was in the school band. I was a drummer. Dated Carol Brinkley and Lyn Darkis and hung with some guys named Bill Stegman and Robert Newcastle (another drummer). Had long blonde hair. I apologise if I get some of the names not quite right, but its been over 30 years. After I graduated, I went to the great white north of northern Michigan to forestry school at Michigan Tech for a two year degree in Forest Technology. the UP of Michigan. Graduated in 1979 and worked in the UP and WI for a private logging company and then married and moved to Tampa area FL in 1981. Went back to school at USF and earned a BS in Geology in 1985. Worked a couple of years consulting and then went to work for the Southwest FL Water Management District as a Geologist in 1987. Been there ever since. Earned a Masters Degree in Hydrogeology from USF in 2000. I remarried in 2002 and had a son Joshua. He is now 6 years old and the joy of life.
