Ron's Story

Hello Friends and Classmates, If you are reading this, then you probably are wondering where I went and what happened to me? Please don't anyone be offended if I haven't been to any class reunions of the Southeast Class of 1966. I vowed to never attend one unless my good friend the late Pete Parnell could attend. I'm sure you understand my meaning. After marrying my high school sweetheart Ellen Gregory, I attended UMKC and KU. I was employed at Wilcox Aviation Electronics in Kansas City as a planner. From there I advanced to Production Control manager at King Radio in Olathe Kansas. Ellen and I have two children, a daughter Keri, a degreed Social Worker and a son, Aaron that attends SMU pre-law and plans on attending Harvard next year to obtain a degree in Law. In 1977 I moved my family to Arlington, Texas a suburb of Dallas after accepting a position with the Department of Defense at Carswell AFB. After 18 years of government service with the DOD I joined The Nuclear Regulatory Commission. During my DOD and NRC days we were discouraged from communicating with family and friends due to security clearance, national security and NATO protocol. During those...Expand for more
years, the Cold War, Iron Curtain, and Berlin Wall were all very much alive. I'm sorry that I've been out of touch. I am presently an actor in movies, television and commercials. I am a member of The Dallas Screen Writers Association, The Dallas Producers Association and IMDB.com. You may have seen me in Foxes television series "Prison Break" or movies like "Midnight Clear" with Stephen Baldwin or "Walking Tall Part II" with Kevin Sorbo (TV's Hercules). I had lunch on Saturday with David Stanley, who is Elvis Pressley's stepbrother, to discuss his new movie "Guarding the King". What a surprising life I have lived! I apologize to anyone that I ever hurt or was rude to at William A. Knotts Elementary or Southeast. Please understand that it was due to my immaturity and was no reflection on you. I wish to thank all of those that called me a friend or at least put up with me during those difficult school years of the 50's and 60's. Please email me if you have ever thought of me over the years. I may have some stories or photographs to share of our years together. Knowing all of you has made me a better person. See you at the movies. All my best, Ronney
