Ron's Story
Life
We moved to Oregon in 1974 resulting from a
job offer.
The was due to a delayed decision to attend College after 11 years of working many
low income positions with little future.
I applied to and graduated from ECC
Downtown/Roswell Park
Memorial Hosp (Radiation Therapy Tech) 1st
class with a College based/degree AAS
course in the top of my class. I was offered a
job and hired in Portland,
Oregon. I became the 1st
male tech in the state. By 1981 I had become
burned out from conflicting politics. Working
for Doctors (God Syndrome) and the
Hospital (administration) so I resigned my position.
I started a business called Northwest
Classic Falcons, Inc. I am semi-retired now but still at it for
over 27 years now and doing well but
getting ready to sell and play while
there is still time to enjoy the rewards of our
labors. My wife Jean and I
have been married 34 years now and are very
close frie...Expand for more
nds. We worked
together in the business with out a
great deal of problems. We have
become known as the Ford Falcon
Experts and that can be a rather
heavy load to carry. I really like to cook and
do most all of the cooking. I also grow edible
landscape year round as I
enjoy gardening in this temperate climate.
MicroBrews (handcrafted small batch beer of
which Portland has over 100) is our
main vice and no guilt for it. I have 6 going
on tap in the
garage. Mmmm gooooood! Most are IPA's for now.
We have no children by choice and are very
happy with that decision we made many years
ago. Quit smoking in 1972 another good choice.
Still driving Falcon a 1965 Sedan Delivery and a 1961 Econoline PU but gonna sell them when a good Electric comes to the US market.
