Ron's Story
After a false start at Oswego I went to the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 65. Married a girl from Our lady of Cincinnati College (now part of Xavier Univ.) - two kids, two grandkids. and went to work as a bean counter. I quickly learned there had to be a better way to make a living.
I stumbled into information systems and for the next 35 years worked as a programmer, project manager, and eventually director of MIS for Fortune 500 companies in the midwest - Bendix, Montgomery Ward, Joy Mfg., and Clark Equipment. None of them exist anymore, couldn't survive without me I guess. I eventually took a job with a privately owned apparel manufacturer in Fayetteville, NC - they don't exist anymore either.

ecided I wanted to teach and went back to school, got an MBA and a CPA and started teaching Accounting and Operations Management in the NC community college system.
I built a little house on a barrier island on the coast of NC and retired in 2005. Now I sit on my deck, watch the waves and sip scotch. When that gets to be too strenuous I go down to the public pier and pretend to be a fisherman.
It's a pleasant life but it gets kind of boring in what passes for winter down here. I think I have seen about an inch of snow in six years on Oak Island. When I lived in Statesville and Fayetteville NC it sometimes snowed as much 8 to 12 inches in a single winter. I don't think I could survive a Fulton winter.
