Ron's Story

Ron is from Livonia, Michigan, and resides in Plano [Dallas], Texas. He earned his graduate degree from Southern Methodist University (Telecommunication), and his undergraduate degree from UofM–Dearborn (Electrical Engineering), after graduation from Bentley High School ('78). Ron is married to Pamela Jones Ponners, Ph.D., an instructional designer at the UT Southwestern Medical Center. He has one son, Christopher, who recently graduated UT-Austin as a petroleum engineer, and lives and works in Dallas. ----- At high school, Ron was involved with band (he played the trombone), orchestra, and swim team.
