Ron Snyder:

CLASS OF 1972
South san francisco, CA

Ron's Story

What's up Class of '72! First, let me say it has been great to hear from some of you. Time has passed to quickly and, with the exception of a few close friends, been horrible about staying in touch. I know a lot of us said they left South City and never looked back. I have nothing but great memories. In regards to my life, it's been awesome. When I left El Camino, I joined the Air Force. Glad I did it, but still wonder what possesed me.It did give me a better work ethic than I had. I ended up in San Diego, enrolled at San Diego State. I graduated with a Degree in Economics. Found out when I wasn't stoned I was actually a pretty decent student. I was in a Fraternity, and some of those guys are still great friends. For those of you who have had that experience know, it was amazing. After college, moved to Reno with a couple of Fraternity brothers for the Ski season, yeah, I know so much for the work ethic. Eventually got a real job in Advertising and Marketing and end up working for Turner Broadcasting in Atlant...Expand for more
a. Spent 17 years there as VP of Sales. I met my wife in Atlanta, her name is Marianne and by far the best thing that ever happened to me. We are going on 30 years of being married and it's still fun. She has a big heart and is a Director for Habitat for Humanity. We have one son, Jonathan, he's 25 and my best friend. Except when he beats me at Golf, unfortunately for me, he inherited my competitive streak. He's trying to go to Grad school some where. He's a great Kid, so I'm not to worried about him. I just want him to be happy. For fun, I'm still in to the outdoors, love the Beach, Golf and travel. I have been real fortunate to travel to Europe quite a bit. Paris will blow your mind, but Amsterdam for a San Franciscan like me is awesome. I'm sure that's a lot more than you really care to know. But, just in case, I just got on Facebook. I may the last person on Earth to do it, but I would love to hear from you to...and even though they are pretty scary now, an old picture too. Class of '72.......you Rock. Ron
