Ron's Story
After school I joined the Marine Corps for 4 1/2 years and repaired radars and that days analog computers. During that time I lived in 29 Palms & LA, Ca - Japan and the Philippines. After the Corps I became a semi rock star and was a singer with bands in Florida and Louisiana. I have been the opening act for some bigger bands and done concerts for as many as 10,000 people, but the closest I came to fame was when my band in Florida broke up. The bass player went on to play for Molly Hatchet, Fog Hat and some other big band I can't seem to remember. Anyway there always seemded to be some idiot in the band that messed things up so I quit the music biz just after Reagan fired all the Air Traffic Controllers. Aviation had always interested me so I have been a controller in Houston, TX ever since. Although I'll be forced to retire in 2011 ...Expand for more
due to the age limit. I guess we are getting old.
I married a Houston girl, Lynnis, in 1985 and we have two son's Jason & Michael. We've owned a computer business since 1990 and also owned Woodlands Gymnastics Academy since 2006. My son Jason is an upper level optional gilrs coach at the gym. Michael has been coaching for us too, but he's going to transfer to Texas A&M business school this fall so we will be loosing him. The gym has done pretty good and we have 65 girls in competition which is a fairly large team. We are also one of USAG's National Training Squad Clubs of which there are only 19 in the USA. We got into the gymnastics business because both boys were gymnast from 1st thru 12th grade.
That's about it for me. Hope you have all been as lucky at life as me and if not, may good luck come to you now and forever...........
