Ron's Story
Went to Western Ill and earned my BS in Special Ed- wanted to teach and coach. Taught for a yr in NW Indiana - moved to Hailey Idaho soon after that. It is near Sun Valley ski resort- and it is one of the prettiest places in North America. I lived there for 24 yrs. I was a tile cntr there - had my own business for 2 decades- worked on alot of movie stars' houses- big houses:) I moved to Boise 4 yrs ago. I LOVE Boise. I live very close to Boise State campus and the river. I love the downtown area- lots of energy. I have been a real outdoorsman- fishing and camping - but love going to Chicago and other big cities for visits. Love Wrigley field- make at least 15 games a yr.Have 2 sons Ryne 25 and Tyson 23. Have been divorced about 15 yrs. Was a 50/50 single dad from the time they were very young. Both were 4.0 sutdent athletes and went to and grad from prestigiuos colleges. Ryno ...Expand for more
went to Boston College and was drafted by the Braves and just finished the season in AAA for the Red Sox. Tyson went Tufts Unv in Boston - played linebcker 4 yrs and was team captn sr yr. Now works as a civil eng in Boston. Going to Francis was somewhat of a lifechanger for me- and for my sisters 2 . I could have gone to Bowen but my parents really pounded the strike zone w/ the education thing. I really had a great time in high school. I met some great people, had great teammates- some very influential coaches. My closest friend to this day is Tommy McGuire who played QB a few yrs older than me. He's been a Chicago fireman and northsider forever. He's like an uncle to my sons, they really like him. And oh yes, I was glad it was co ed. Carmel just wouldn't have been as interesting:) I really enjoy taking to friends even if haven't for 30 yrs so don't be afraid to keep in touch.
