Ronald(Ron)'s Story
Went to schools in Upland from the fourth grade to the middle of my junior year in high school. Finishing up in Orange County. But Upland is where I really think of when I think of the formative years. I think of memories with some amusment going to Upland Jr HS. The dances in the gym and more pranks in the classroom. I remember vividly some classmates, teachers,being on sports teams. I smile when I think of my time at Upland HS. I am thrilled to be in some kind of contact with friends from that time in my life. Through Facebook, Twitter and here on Classmates.
I went over to Viet Nam in the Fall of 1966 in the First Air Cav. Seven months later I was being medivacted out of the field.Having been wounded in the Bon Son plains in the first week of May 1967.

In 1969 I was living in Newport Beach, CA. Living a life of reckless abandoment.
When I became a believer during the Jesus Freak Movement. I have been on a journey since then. I have become comfortable in my own skin you know. Recovering from those family of origin issues , a time of recreational drugs usage and some lets just say inappropiate behavior. There was more to life than Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll. I presently live in North Carolina and am retired from Civil Service. I have two grown sons who are both married living on the West Coast. Two grandaughters and am married to the Love of my Life Ruth Ann. Who also was a Highlander from Glendora. We have a beloved Black Lab from Oregon where we lived for seven years. A cat from Dana Point,CA.
