Ronald's Story

When I went to college at Stephen F. Austin, I worked part time as a weekend DJ on a local AM radio station (860 am KSFA) to make some extra money. I spun old 33 & 45 rpm country records as part of my music format. While on the radio one weekend, I recieved a call from one of my grandfather's younger sisters. ce my fathers parents got divorced when he was younger, I never knew my bio-logical grandfather. However, after she call back several times and knew specific details about my father family, I decided to go meet her and her husband. That was the best thing I have ever done, I got to know the "Ables" side of the family and how they settled in East Texas for over 100 years. The best part was getting to know other family members of my grandfather and understanding "where I came from".
