Ronald's Story

We traveled extensively courtesy of the military, three tours in Washington State, two in Okinawa, one in Vietnam, one in Germany and our final roosting place California where we've lived since 1983. I joined the Seaside PD and 21 years later and one heart attack later I have finally retired and am taking it easier; no more late, late nite call-outs to begin my day when someone else's has ended. no fun having to investigate one of your own. Most of the IA's were frivolous but two of them led to the officers being fired. One was a close personal friend but he did a stupid thing that led to his down fall. All in all, I really enjoyed to excitement and challenge of being a cop. I spent the last five years of my career as commander of our detective/narcotics division which included the dreaded IA section.
I now spend my time relaxing by watching baseball and reading. My favorite authors are David Baldacci, Vince Flynn, James Kellerman and our own Nicholas Sparks. I also took up playing the guitar. I study classical style and really enjoy that.
