After High School, I attended ASU for one year, but decided that "Higher Education" was not for me. I joined the U.S. Navy and spent 3 years in Electronics and Nuclear Power Schools. I spent a total of 6 years in the Navy, last 3 on an attack submarine out of Pearl Harbor. After I got out, My wife and I moved to Flagstaff where I worked in Electronics for the school district until 1977. In 1975, I joined the US Coast Guard Reserves. I served in Boating Safety Patrols, Electronics at San Diego, CA and Search Light, NV, finally ending up in Long Beach, CA as a Criminal Investigator. I was fortunate to work plain clothes Dignitary Protection during the 1984 Olympics in Long Beach, CA. I retired from the USCGR in 1994. In 1977, I started my career as an Arizona Highway Patrol Officer, eventually winding up in Kingman, AZ where I retired after too many years of "chasing tail lights" and a couple working Narcotics and I was on the front lines at the Copper Strikes in Clifton/Morenci in 1984.
