Life
I can't complain. 20yrs USAF, retire on a Friday, start a new career on Monday as a system eng. Worked 15 more yrs and retired again. 3 great (grown) kids. Always been hooked on vintage cars, but now my main interest in life is DANCING!!! I dance 6-9 times a week, lessons as well as social dancing. Dancing has re-vitalized my life - much to my amazement. I've found a great dance (and more?) partner who adds much to my life.
Military
Joined the USAF in 1958. ...Expand for more
Was an Aviation Cadet, and won my brown bars and Navigator rating in 1959. 1st assgnmt Ellsworth AFB in SD (B-52). Flew 150 combat msns in 1966,67,68 (SEA). Re-assigned to Mather AFB in Sacramento. Went back to SEA in 1973 as a AC130A gunship navigator. Flew 85 more combat msns before the air war ended. Re-assigned to Griffis AFB, NY for more B-52 time. Survived without a scratch. Retired in 1979 with a pocket full of medals, rank of Major and a Master Navigator rating.
