Life I was in the Naval Reserve for 24 years and served during VietNam on boad the USS Kitty Hawk as a signalman from Feb '69 thru Nov '70. I enjoyed my time on the Kitty Hawk and made friends with the guys in the signal gang, at least I think I did! There are so many memories of the ship especially when first coming aboard and was ordered to make coffe and went all the way from the 010 level to the flight deck (04 level) and make a whole pot of coffee with salt water! Wow, the chiefs didn't like my coffee. Anyway I made SM3 while on board this fine ship. I retired from the Naval Reserve in 1991 and am now reaping the benefits of 24 years in the Naval Reserve with retirement pay and good Tricare and Delta Dental insurance. I had worked at Hope's Windows for 42 years. I was a senior project manager and enjoyed working computer and drawing using AutoCad.
