Ronald's Story

After leaving Cal Hi, I moved to Pasadena and attended and graduated from PCC. It was there that I re-met a long-time acquaintance, my wife, Pat. She and I were both involved with other people at the time bu struck up a relationship, ditched our intendeds, and got married following graduation. I worked as a packaging engineer at the time and attended night school, in Law for the next 3 years. In 1968 I was approached by some folks to run for the California state Assembly, but the registration numbers in the district, Glendale, Hollywood and Burbank, were awful. In any case, we lost by a mere 2%, and after that loss I needed a job. I had an interest in the securities industry and joined a stock brokerage firm as a broker. Three years later I was promoted to management, and remained in management in the industry for the next 19 years. During that time we had a son and moved to San Diego. In 1974 thru 1976 I finished up my education with a BA, and MA, and a Ph.D. In 1987 I was hired as a consultant to build Big Bank marketing programs for investment products, which led, some 15 years later, to my opening of my own company, with a national sales force and acting as a wholesale distributor of Life Insurance and annuity products, while still acting as a personal investment advisor to clients. We have a second home in the high desert, which can be seen at norseenterprises, which is also where I paint and write in my spare time. Hobbies include those things and golf. I have also done quite a few TV commercials over the years, ...Expand for more
and appeared in one movie. We still live, primarily, in San diego, and spend a week a month in Joshua Tree. My company, Annuity Ally, is headquartered in San Diego as well. . I always wanted to be a Attorney when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were correct. To relax, I read a lot, write novels, and Oil paint. The wildest thing that I did in school was while in a Frat at PCC, I organized our pledges and we disassembled our pledge master's Renault dauphine. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have challenge, Reward, and Satisfaction to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero was my Dad. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Dan Nilsson, because He was a good friend. If I won $100 million, I'd give 50 million of it to various charities, then spend the rest on my homes, my family and a run for State Senate. My current age is 67. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely amazed at the energy level that I have. My best friend would tell you I'm Outgoing, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as outgoing. My dress is eclectic and depends upon where I am and what I am doing. Generally Dockers on weekdays and levis on weekends I have a number of recognition awards from City, County, State, and Federal agencies, as well as historic preservation groups. When I graduated from Cal-Hi, I was the shortest guy in my class. I grew in college and am 6 feet tall, 185 pounds
