Life Well lets see, after leaving Morton I attended the U of South Dakota for 1 yr and then transfered to the U of Evansville where I received my BS degree with a major in accounting in 1973. I worked for a private accounting firm for about 9 months and then went to work for U.S. Customs Service in Chicago in 1974 as an accountant. I became the accounting branch chief in 1981 until 1985 when they abolished my job. I then became a Special Agent for Customs in the Chicago office until I transfered to the Reno, NV office in 1987. I worked criminal cases in Reno until 1997 when I was promoted to the Resident Agent in Charge for the Reno Office. Worked on the "Mustang Ranch" case and had to monitor their books the last year they were in operation. In Oct of 2002 I was transfered to Washington, DC where I worked on asset forfeitures. In March of 2003 Customs was moved to the Dept of Homeland Security and the agents were assigned to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
