Ronald's Story
Life
It's been awhile since I've last updated my profile so I guess now is a good time to do so. This June it will be 25 years of marriage and three daughters. Oldest is 22 now. Next one is 20 and the youngest is pushing 16. The youngest one is heading off to Germany this summer as a exchange student. She also wants to be a Vet. The middle one is still searching and the oldest is a manager at a fortune 500 company :-)
I retired at age 50 but got bored with everything I thought I'd love to do in my free time. So I started up my company once again (Wire It) and have been working ever since. We finally sold the dance studio we owned for 15 years. It was very hard to part with all the friends we made over those 15 years.
We once again packed up the family and moved to Waterford just outside of Leesburg, VA. Purchased 5 acres and build our "dream home". Our two Standard Poodles love it out here. Those two dogs think they are lap dogs even though they weigh in at 75 pounds each, ugh!!! Our four cats are afraid to come out of the house. The wildlife out here is so abundant. We have deer that come up ...Expand for more
to the front door, turkies, foxes, owls, hawks and even a bear once in awhile. Talk about darkness. When the sun goes down here it's DARK! I love it out here. So peaceful and beautiful.
I spend most of my non working time with my family and friends. I've picked up the hobby of metal detecting. Have found many interesting items over the years. Civil War relics are always a nice find. For all of you who did not pay attention in your American History class you would be surprised about how much of the Civil War was fought around here. Great Falls, Lincolnia Park & Pinecrest areas to name a few. Beach hunting is always fun too.
My travels seem to be mostly to tropical beaches when I can. The Dominican Republic Jack Par resort is one of my favorites. Then there is VA beach and the Carolina beaches also.
I miss all my friends from HS. Wish I was still in touch with most of them. Still hang around with a good share of them though. Does anyone know where Laurie Gause ended up at?? What about Carolyn Wheatley?? I would love to catch up with them.
