Ronda's Story
Life
From the Class of 84.
Chip Sprague and I started dating in our Junior year and married in 1986. Then Chip left for the Air Force. I joined him in 1987 at Scott AFB, IL. In 1988, we had our first child, Timothy and in 1991 we completed our family with Rebekah. In 1992 we moved to Tampa, FL, MacDill AFB arriving the same weeked Hurricane Andrew hit. In 1995 we moved back to Scott AFB. During that time I returned to school and graduated in 1998. Then we moved once again. This time our destination was Montgomery, AL, Gunter Annex. We finally had a chance to settle in there and made some great friends. After spending six years there we moved to the Omaha, Nebraska area. Offutt AFB has been our home for only three years and now we're off again. Our children have grown up so fast. Timothy graduated this year (2007) and Rebekah is going to be a sophomore this year. . We're leaving soon on our biggest adventure yet. I'm considering it a three year vacation. Our new home will be in the South Pacific on the very small island of Guam. It's been crazy getting ready for an overseas move but it's kind of exciting too. I'll miss my friends here and my job but it's time to go.
Over the years I've held many different jobs mostly due to moving so much. I like to try new things so I look for new and different jobs to do. I've worked as a switchboard operator, legal secretary, waited tables, customer service representative in a call center, and my latest, biggest change is driving a school bus. I love it. It's different everyday and my kids are great. Dealing with the elements can be a challenge but it's worth it. I plan to return to school while in Guam to become a school teacher.
I will never forget my time at Marietta High and all the students and teachers who made it a precious time in my life.
