Ronn's Story
I graduated from UCLA in 1960. Then I continued on to three graduate schools and finally come up with a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. There was more post Masters study at Austin Presbyterian Seminary in preparation for the Presbyterian ministry. I served in three pastorates in California....Salinas, Mendocino and La Jolla.
Classmates Dick Derby, Louie Below and Charlie Smith introducted me to Hillside Presbyterian Church during my days at Castlemont. It was a little pre-evangelism and volleyball that carried some vocational calling.
I married Dorothy Maloof in 1963 and we have two grown daughters. Our eldest, Kelly, was the 2008 Kellita Maloof, Queen of San Francisco's Carn...Expand for more
ival. She is the prima donna and founder of the Hot Pink Feathers Show Girl Academy in San Francisco. Our younger daughter, Mary Heather, is a flight attendant with United Airlines. She and I spent Father's Day in Sao Paolo, Brazil. We jave 12 imaginary grandchildren.
Retirement years have settled us near the San Diego Zoo. When you bring your grand-kids down for a visit to the animals, we are within walking distance of their habitat. I can be found on the public tennis courts most afternoons as they are across the street from our home.
In recent years, I explored Mexico, Central America and some of South America, while working of my Spanish that was started by Miss Helen _____ at Castlemont High.
