Ronnie's Story
In 1964, I left Lake CIty, moved to Tampa, FL. stayed there until I joined the Army 11/1965. I stayed in FT.Knox, KY until I was sent to VN, 1968. I served as a Scout with 2nd/47th/9th Div. I was wounded in May of 68, during the Battle of Cholon. After leaving the Army returned back to LC. Got married to Frances Taylor, divorced, remarried, and again divorced. I worked at Areo for couple years, went to work for the VA Hospital, worked in Security for 9 years, as a Deputy Sheriff for 2 years, was a Auxiliary Deputy for about 8 years Joine...Expand for more
d the FL Nation Guard and retired with 21 years.. I worked in VA Engineering Svc, as a Maintenance Mechanic, promoted to Supervisor, then promoted to Chief of Maintenance and Operation. I retired after 36 years of service. I play golf, fish, babysit, and other things I want to do. I am a member of Christ Central Ministries in LC. I have 3 lovely daughters, 2 are LPN's, one works at the CCSO, 6 grandkids, 3 boys and 3 girls. I have been married for 31 years, wife retired as Medical Technologist, from the LC VA Medical Center.
