Ronnie's Story

I share my home with Little Dog "KiKi", which I find my Key Companion and then I have a Sweet Devoted Boyfriend that visits me daily. No trophies - only One (1) published Children s' book named "Rorey the Raccoon" written in 1997. Plus I am a Silk Florist and have done over 65 Wedding and Other Occasions and taught Floral Arrangement Classes. You get one do-over. What do you do differently? That would be to take better care of my body. Even though I am a Cancer Survivor 2001-2002, I have been working so very hard to my body back in shape, but it will never be that Cheer Leader 1973-1974. By 2015, I hope to be back in shape. I am walking 2 miles at least 4 days a week and doing Palates on the days I don't walk. It is fun and I take "KiKi" with me, so by the time we're done, she is ready for a nap. The wildest thing I ever did in High school is try out for Varsity Cheer Leading and actually making the Squad. in 1973-74. Barbara Jean Hurley died 2008 of Breast Cancer and Yvonne "Jettie" Kuhrt was murder in April 17, 2011 in Plymouth, MA. I am still waiting for her ashes to have a Memorial Service here in Tucson. I can say, THOUGH I DO HAVE A VERY GOOD FRIEND/SISTER and she is VERY MUCH ALIVE TODAY AND DID GO TO CATALINA HIGH SCHOOL. That is DONNA REYNOLDS!!!!! And you know you're out there Sweetie! those are my very close friends and NO I'm not GAY, not that that's a bad thing, just not my thing. Anyway, My other very, very close Friend/Sister Mary/Beth (Kondrack) Bassett and her husband (Bill)recently moved to MI whom I miss both of them greatly. My oldest friend was Jettie Kurht, I new her since 3rd Grade at Blenman Elementary School. Then, there was my next oldest friend Barbara Hurley. I met her at Doolen Jr. High when we had a break to get a drink of water. I had a full mouth of water and Barb walked up and put her face right next to mine looking like a Blow Fish. All I could do is spit the water out and it went all over Barb's face.... And that is how I really met Barbara Hurley. Barb and Jettie You Are Missed Greatly - God Bless You Both. I hope my old friends to remember me as the Lively and Happy Trojan Cheer Leader that was there to Cheer her Team to Victory with her Fellow Teammates. I always wanted to be a Medical Examiner when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Strange idea. As it turns out, they were Right!. I wouldn't have been able to handle the different smells. How do you blow off steam? Describe your favorite way to relax? Music, Meditation, Dancing, Walking, and Playing with my Chawheenie, she is such a Sweet Dog! And nice Movie Nights my Boyfriend. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Diet Pepsi, Nice Clothes, and Great Attitude to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I have only one hero, my inspiration comes from within and God guides the way. Where have you lived? Why did you move? I was a born and raised Tucsonian, but in married life moved to California, Yuma and Las Vegas due to jobs for my ex-husband. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Barbara Hurley&Jettie Kurht, because they were really great friends of mine.. The Glades, CSI, anything that has to due with Medical Examiner stories or Real TV, Cops or Prison/Jail stories. Not that have ever been in jail. The biggest surprise I had in life is thinking that I would be married to the same person for the rest of my life and finding out that was not Healthy either for my children or myself eminently leading to a divorce and a break up of my dreams for life. But I survived and my children did too and they are Great children and still keep in touch with their father and Grandparents to this day. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel bathroom and add on a hot tub. My drea...Expand for more
m home would be California or Hawaii. As a parent of three (3), two (2) boys and one (1) girl, I found out that when your children are old enough to be on their own and married, they don't need Mom checking to see if they are OK all the time - give them their freedom and they will call you. The teacher I would love to see again is Mr. Harper. Who could forget Sam McGlammery's imitation in, "Senior Capers" and then Mr. Harper in his day-to-day Constitutions of: "Are you masticating in my classroom? " " Do you have pismires in your trousers? " "Ms. Bauer, you writing form is as flowery as your writing". " Ms. Bauer are you wearing a midriff?" "No necking in the hallway". What a gas!!!!! If I won $100 million, I'd give 3,000.000.00 of it to Childrens Cancer Society, then spend the rest on Paying off my Parents Bills, Pay off my Kids Bills and Keep the rest and maybe invest.. Never lived in a Dorm or Sorority - but my High School Sweetheart did - It was quite interesting in that day and age that they had Co-Ed Bathrooms and Showers at the U of A. Actually, I am quite content now where I live now with my dog, I have a Sweet, Caring, Attentive Boyfriend and I don't think I would change anything except being a little healthier and more fit. My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be Middle Aged. I was so completely Very intuitive for a little one.. Working hard? Reveal your career aspirations. No Sweat - No Gain - Keep God Your Brain! What happened to your first crush? My first crush was someone we all know, and he knows too, I won't mention any names but initials will due, J.D. You know who you are. We dated all Sophomore Summer, everyone was rooting for us. Then at the end of the Summer he told me it wouldn't work out because I wasn't his religion. Later, my Senior year, in a Common English class, while I was taking Catholicism classes to be married in the Catholic Church, it dawned on me, Oh, so this was what he was talking about. Oh Well J.D. your a doctor in Respiratory Therapy now GOOD FOR YOU - TRULY I mean that, and I hope your married to the same person you married after college. God Bless Your Family. My best friend would tell you I'm Compassionate, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as too Caring. I try to keep up with the fashions but comfortable - Don't want to have my nose up in the air. My most REWARDING and STRESSFUL job was working at UMC as Administrative Coordinator for the Residency program. Working with 4 employees, taking care of patient care load of 45 doctors, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Interns doing there Residencies on top of being the Admin. Sec. for the Director and Co-Director of the Department of Internal Medicine. What's the weirdest job you ever had? Cleaning apartments on Crack Row. It was NASTY, DANGEROUS, and they DIDN'T PAY ENOUGH MONEY! I share my home with my sweet dog "KiKi", which I find a great companion and safety guard for me.. What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I think that would be showing up at your Reunion and finding out that someone who was "declared dead" showed up at the Reunion alive! My first job was at El Taco, where I got paid $1.75hr to Asst. Mgr.. What I remember most about it is I got fired for practicing Cheer Leading in the Front Lobby after we locked the Front doors.. My Brother, 2 yrs. younger than I, where wrestling, while my parents were out, and I broke my right wrist over his head. I wasn't able to go swimming most of that Summer! That was tough, I was 12 y/o LOL. I Pray and Hope Everyone Throughout the Catalina School Years Have Had Happy, Healthy and Eventful Live. GOD BLESS YOU ALL - Ronnie - Rhonda Bauer 1974 - GO TROJANS!!!!!!
