Ronnie's Story
Life
I did my life backwards after high school. I got married, had kids, and then went back to college. Received my B.A. in 2004 in Liberal Studies from CSUN, and am in the process of changing careers. I have been a legal secretary/paralegal/office manager for 31 years and am now working towards becoming an elementary school teacher, going to CSUN (still) to obtain my multiple subject teaching credential. I have two sons, ages 26 and 20. The oldest one moved out a year and a half ago and the youngest one is in college at L.A.V.C., soon to transfer to a four year.
School
My happiest days in high school were with Gary Smith. We had a blast. And I loved watching Norm Parille play basketball and baseball. Unfortunately...Expand for more
, there were no teachers that inspired me, which is probably why it took me so long to finish college. I had no direction - - but I sure had lots of fun!
College
I never had a roommate in college. The whole time I attended, I was married and had kids. Never ate in the cafeteria, nor pulled an "all nighter." But being in my 40's, I sure did have to drag myself to class after a full day at work for almost 9 years!
Workplace
Started out in the legal profession as a receptionist in a law firm and worked as a secretary, paralegal, hearing representative, and office manager. Never found any of it satisfying. Which is why I went back to school and completed my degree. I am now working as an elementary school teacher.
