Ronnie's Story
After spending 5 years in the Baptist Home in Jax, we moved to the big city of Lawtey. Started the tenth grade at Bradford Co. High, where believe it or not I did manage to graduate. I then moved to Gainesville, started Junior College and decided I had had enough school, so I started working full time. I worked a number of different jobs over the next several years. Got married, had 1 son, Ron. He is living in Palm Coast with my 4 grandsons. Went through a divorce, got married again had 1 daughter, Amy. She is single, living in Kentucky. Went through another divorce,sounds like a revolving door don't it. A couple more bad relationships, so I told God if he wanted me to be married again He would have to bring her to me because I really wasn't doing a good job on my own and I was not even going to look.
Now that that is out of the way I can tell about my occupations. I worked about 14 years in retail at different stores. A&P, Albertson, and Kash and K...Expand for more
arry. Then at the ripe old age of 36, I decided I wanted to try Law enforce-ment. I started at Lawtey CCI worked there for 2&1/2 years before moving to Gainesville,Ga where I worked for Hall County CI for 19 years, 17 as a Lieutenant. I was on the K-9 tracking team for 5 of those years. I retired in 07 and began working for the city of Gainesville where I pick up inmates from the place I retired from and take them out to work.
Now back to my relationship, for those who don't believe God listens when we talk to Him, this is for you. I started going to church up here at Free Chapel Worship Center. I became involved in the church by helping out as an usher. By now it had been several years since I had made the statement I had made to God. To make this story a little shorter,(because I'm really getting tired of trying to type), one Sunday Misty walked into church, and now we've been married 9 years this coming July. Now we are both involved in church.
