Ron's Story

Life From TJ I went to NTSU as a music major, although I really intended to stay out of Nam, and party. I continued playing in rock bands with Floyd Dakil, Terry Billings, and Geoff West. We are still close today, and can make some great music, old and new. Transferred to Arlington State College (now UTA) to major in Engineering. Graduated with a BS is Mechanical Engineering in 1971. Went to work at Texas Instruments in 1971 and had a great career. I retired early in 1996. I did consulting work for several years. I am now a stay at home Dad. e of ETSU, married and living in Tucson. Amanda has a newborn baby girl in July 2005. That makes me a grandpa! I married Renie Mead Randall and we have a 12 year old boy, Cole. We adopted him as an infant. I drive him to school, do homework, and volunteer at his school. Renie and I divorced in January 2006, and get along better now. Our son is doing well with the new arrangement. Still playing lots of different guitars, including steel guitar, pedal steel guitar, Dobro. I fish all the time, around the 4 state area, and am planning our second trip to Alaska this summer. I am still in the middle of Dallas near Inwood and Walnut Hill.
